Robert J. Moore Jr., of Williamsville, NY entered into rest on July 23, 2025 at age 88. Beloved husband of 41 years to Nancy (nee Snyder) Moore; devoted father of Donna Coppock, Robert (Shelley) Moore III, Christine (Matthew Gumina) Moore, Jay (Robyn) Hunter and the late Stephen Moore; cherished grandfather of 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; loving son of the late Ethel (nee Warner) and Robert J. Moore Sr.; dear brother of Beverly (Allen) Chambers; also survived by loving nieces and nephews. Bob was a 1959 graduate of The Citadel in Charleston, SC. He volunteered as a mentor teaching English as a second language for students of various age groups. He was a serious bicycle rider completing Ride Across Maryland over many years. Bob was a cancer survivor and proudly rode in The Ride for Roswell. He volunteered at University at Buffalo's Jacob’s School of Medicine teaching medical students how to compassionately give bad news to patients. Bob loved his Asbury Church family, had a deep faith, and was active in the church. Relatives and friends may visit Beach-Tuyn Funeral Home, 1671 Maple Rd., Williamsville, NY 14221 on Friday (August 15, 2025) from 1-4pm. A Memorial Service will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church, 850 Dodge Rd., Getzville, NY 14068 on Saturday (August 16, 2025) at 1pm. Please assemble at church. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bob’s memory may be made to the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, the SPCA serving Erie County or Asbury United Methodist Church.
