After 26 noble years, Shawn Joseph, born November 12, 1988, was suddenly taken from us. Shawn entered into rest on
September 14, 2015. He was the most genuine soul you could have encountered. Strong, but gentle in spirit, he had a way with
people (children, in particular) that was loving, entertaining and comforting. Shawn was a valiant and courageous
soldier of the United States Army, recognized for the way in which his sense of duty and honor preceded all that he accomplished.
Shawn was no different when it came to family. He battled on behalf of all causes important to him and those around him;
he offered comfort in times of need and added joy to even the happiest of moods. He is the beloved son of
Timothy and Diane (Lipczynski) McMullen; most loving younger brother of Daniel (Cali) McMullen and Kelly (Jeremy) McMullen-Adler; adored
grandson of William T. McMullen, the late Patricia Ballaro (nee Madden), Marilyn Lipczynski (nee Schwing) and
the late Joseph Lipczynski. His loving spirit is carried on by his many cousins, aunts, uncles, brothers-in-arms, friends
and extended family too numerous to list but not forgotten. His respect for others, passion, honesty, devotion, fearlessness, sincerity, selflessness
and generosity will be remembered by all, as will his contagious smile. The family will be present to receive friends Friday, September 18, 2015
from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Perna, Dengler, Roberts Funeral Home, 1671 Maple Road, Williamsville, New York 14221. Funeral Mass
will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph University Parish at 3269 Main Street, Buffalo, New York 14214. In lieu of
flowers, memorial gifts may be made to UNYTS, 110 Broadway, Buffalo, NY 14203 or the Finger Lakes Donor Recovery Network, 30 Corporate
Woods, Suite 220, Rochester, NY 14623 or Wounded Warriors Project. And as Shawn so generously requested, we would ask that you, too,
would consider donating life one day. www.denglerrobertspernafuneral.com
