Barbara Engh Croft. Bobbie. Mom. Mother C. Gamma. G-Gamma. Over the years, she's held many wonderful roles to all of us, earned many endearing nicknames, made countless fishy faces and shared even more bushels & pecks. Throughout it all, and for most of us who knew her, she was the preeminent matriarch. The sweetest woman on the planet with a smile, perspective and disposition that could, and often would, light up a room; Bobbie embodied joy.
A true product of the greatest generation, she was perpetually grateful, demanded hard work and expected the highest order of manners when they were called for. Speaking of the highest order of manners, this sweet lady was also capable of delivering a rendition of a kids' song that concludes with the greatest raspberry of all time… and all to entertain her many grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved.
Bobbie was the wisest woman most of us have ever known. She was always willing and able to share a few words of sage advice or a laugh or two. Or a happy hour. Or some peppermint ice cream. Those last two, along with her Viking blood, were her keys to a long and happy life. Whether at her Church, Girl Scouts, or around her local community, Bobbie lived her life to be in the service of others. She was a constant in many lives, and it will be difficult adjusting to that change. However, in her selected and poignant words, "miss me, but let me go". We love you and miss you already, Gamma.

We will celebrate our dearest mother's life August 6, 2022 at the Church of Holy Comforter, 222 Kenilworth Ave, Kenilworth at 11:00am a small reception immediately afterward in the Church Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, Bobbie asked that a donation be made in her memory to her baby sister Dorothy's inner city Dallas ministry, Reconciliation Outreach at rodallas.org. To honor her, we plan to love deeply, give generously, and live honorably.
