Boris Persky passed away on September 16, 2025, at the age of 87. He was preceded in death by his wife, Galina. Boris is survived by his three sons, Mark, Slava, and David (Becky), his daughter, Alla (Jim) and his sister Rose. He was a proud grandfather to Lexi, Jordie, Noah, and Max.
He and Galina shared a love of international travel, often bringing home timepieces and stories from their trips. After her passing, Boris continued to collect and care for the clocks and watches they had found together.
For over forty years, Boris owned and operated Around the Clock Repairs in Chicago, where he repaired and restored antique clocks and watches. His customers appreciated his ability to restore the elegance and beauty of historical timepieces and bring loved mechanical heirlooms back to life.
A master chess player, Boris enjoyed watching his Chicago Bulls, kibitzing with his friends at temple, and swimming.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Chabad Riverwoods.
