Gail V. Johannson

Gail V. Johannson, 73, of Winnetka died Sunday, August 11 at Glenbrook Hospital. Beloved daughter of the late J. Leonard and Virginia (Koehler) Johnson, loving wife of Jeff Kane, mother of Debbie (Mark Deutchman) Seymour, Charlie Seymour, Tom (Suzie Helmerci) Seymour, Andrew (Jenni) Kane, Peter (Liz) Kane, grandmother of J. Aiden Deutchman, Patrick Ruggles, Madeleine Kane, Sam Kane, sister of the late Wayne Johnson, sister-in-law of Martha C. Johnson, aunt of Jeff & Scott Johnson, rescuer of countless cats and dogs.

She graduated from Sophie Newcomb College in 1963 and was a creative writer, director and mentor for the Children's Theatre of Winnetka, the Winnetka Children's Fair Main Show and the Winnetka Women's Club now the Village Follies. Gail was also Real Estate Broker with her partner Judy Wilkinson.

Visitation will be from 5-9 pm on Wed, Aug 14 at Wm. H. Scott Funeral Home, 1100 Greenleaf Ave. Wilmette, IL. Friends are welcome to meet at 10:30 am on Thurs, Aug 15 at Forest Home Cemetery for a committal service.
