Beloved husband of Joan Caine Schwartz and the late Marian "Mimi" Malter Schwartz; Loving father of Jan (John) Taylor and Mitchell (Melva "Melly") Schwartz; devoted step-father of Jim (Renée, fiancée) Caine and Jeff Caine; dear brother of Edward Schwartz; cherished grandfather of Carly (Daniel) Bryer, Evan, Steven "Dean", Josh (Julie), Jessica (Michael), Gina (Alec) and Angela; great-grandfather of Max Mitchell, Casi and A.J.
