Joyce Rena Katz, nee Stanton, 88, adored daughter of the late Anne (née Stepkin) and Maurice Stanton; beloved younger sister of Jerome (Alyce) Stanton; loving mother to Jeffrey (Sheila) Katz, Beth (Paul) Grabowski and David Katz; devoted grandmother to Matthew (Jackie) and Samuel (Dorota) Katz and Alex (Angelina Whitfield) Grabowski. She also is survived by cousin Kay Stepkin, other extended family and many lifelong friends.
During her difficult journey through memory loss Joyce received amazing kindness, care and support from her son David, Marcia O’Connor, Elizabeth Olechno, both Beatrices, and the wonderful staff of the Friend Center for Memory Care in Deerfield. We her family will be forever grateful to them all for maintaining her comfort, dignity and peaceful existence.
