Lois was the only daughter of the late William and Alice Overend. Lois’s only brother, the late Reverend William Overend, was a Methodist minister. Lois is survived by her brother’s wife, Caroline Macinnes, and two nieces, Wendy Hartnett and Christy Weise, and a cousin, Judy Ellis, and their families.
A lifelong Chicagoland area resident, Lois grew up in the Greenleaf-Ridge neighborhood, and lived for many years in Evanston and Wilmette. Lois attended Northwestern University at night for fourteen years, and in 1968 graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education.
Lois was employed the majority of her working career by American Hospital Supply Corporation, Evanston, as an executive secretary to the Corporate General Counsel.
Lois joined St. Augustine Episcopal Church in 1989, and was an active member including long time secretary to the Vestry.
Lois loved classical music and the opera, and attended many performances at the CSO and Lyric with the love of her life, the late Charles Kuhnen.
Burial will be private. A memorial service will be held post pandemic.
