Marks Gordon

Marks Gordon passed on April 14, 2026. He was 95 years old. He was the youngest of two sons of Ben and Ida Gordon and the last member of his generation of the large Chicago-based Gordon family. He is survived by his fourth wife, Florence of Ringgold, three children and a stepson; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Services were held graveside on April 17, 2026.

Mark grew up in Chicago. While in college, he was drafted into the Army where he served 2 years honorably before returning to Chicago to settle and build his family. Marks enjoyed extended family celebrations as well as outdoor activities like camping, hiking and canoeing. He worked diligently to support his family implementing computer and accounting systems when they were first emerging in the 70s.

He continued to live in Chicago with his 2nd wife Sandra, who sadly, passed away four years later of a brain tumor. He later lived in North Carolina with his 3rd wife, and most recently lived in the metro Chattanooga area with his fourth wife and stepson.

Marks enjoyed traveling throughout the US keeping in touch with his extended family. He loved and was loved.
