Marsha Santelli (nee Robbins), 84, was an esteemed educator, advocate and mentor to many. Throughout her career, she enriched the lives of countless students as an elementary school teacher, a district bilingual coordinator and as the principal of Chappell Elementary School. A life-long Chicagoan, Marsha was a passionate proponent of teaching English to speakers of other languages and held leadership positions in Illinois TESOL-IBE and International TESOL, the professional organizations dedicated to expanding this discipline. Marsha is survived by her son Howard (Sue) Santelli, grandson Joel Santelli, sister Nancy Meyerson, brother Martin (Nancy) Kaplan, nieces and many colleagues and friends. Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 13, 1o:30 a.m., at Westlawn Cemetery, 7801 W. Montrose, Norridge.
