Marshall J STEIN, age 87, of Chicago, Illinois passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022. Marshall was born May 26, 1935. Marshall Stein, 87, loving husband to Ellen for 65 years; proud father of Dean (Jodi), Julie (Rob), Larry, and Ricky (Jennifer). Adored grandfather of Brittany, Brandon, Nicole, Blake, Cayden, and Addison, the big brother of Lynn Feder and Bernard (deceased). Marshall, born in Allendale, South Carolina, son of Max and Lena Stein, spent his early years in Beaufort, South Carolina, a place he fondly remembered and celebrated with family members via Zoom in the last year. His teenage and college years were spent in Indianapolis. At Indiana University he met Ellen and together they settled in Chicago which became his home for over 60 years. Marshall was a proud member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange where he enjoyed a long and distinguished career including serving on the Board of Governors. Always a gentleman, Marshall's sweet southern charm will be sorely missed by all who loved him. Funeral service private, In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to Alzheimer's Disease Research.
