Norman P. Baskes, 81. Loving son of the late Irwin and Ella Baskes; beloved brother of Roger (Julie) Baskes and Aline (Don Dreyfus) Strausberg; cherished friend of his cousin Reva Schneider; dear uncle of Laura Litwin, Jeremy Baskes, Daniel Baskes, David Strausberg, and Debbie Kozlowski. Until his retirement, with great pride, Norman taught history at Roosevelt High School and Wells High School in the Chicago Public Schools. He was a lifetime reader of history and literature, especially Shakespeare, and a lifetime fan of the Chicago Bears.
