Rita and I went from teacher/student in the early eighties. Through a common critique group we became Friends/great friends. Fast forward to 5 years ago and we became co.presidents of American Jewish Artists Club. I couldn’t do it without her. She taught and inspired me with her kindness, sensitivity,  intellect,  and logic. 
It was a joy just being in her company. In addition to her beauty and grace she always made me feel special. I will miss her, but will carry her in my heart.

I will always remember your mother as a vital force in the art community. A woman with boundless energy and who made a difference in the lives she touched. 
And i will never forget that her and Liza went to the School of the Art School together the Liza was in her 20's and your mom in her 50's. 
My deepest sympathy for your loss.
