Robert James Stark

STARK, Robert James, 77 of Prospect, KY died Saturday January 2, 2016 at Hosparus in Louisville, Ky. He was born in Chicago, ILL and a 1956 graduate of New Trier High School. Mr. Stark was a former co-owner of several Frisch's Big Boy restaurants in the Greater Louisville Area and Roppel's Catering, a member for over 50 years of the Louisville Boat Club and former Director and an honorary Kentucky Colonel. Mr. Stark was a kind and caring man and gave generously to numerous charities and organizations. Survivors include sister-in-law Ann Stark, two nieces Janet Stark Trimble and Carolyn Stark Wyatt; nephew James Stark, Jr. ; also survived by numerous great nieces and great nephews and life-long friend and companion Ruth "Maggie" Gordon. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. - 11:30 am on Thursday at Scott Funeral Home at the Wm. H. Scott Funeral Home, 1100 Greenleaf Ave. in Wilmette, IL, followed by services and entombment in Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie, IL.
