Suzy Tauber, nee Shumow, entered and departed this earth on November 4th. She was the beloved wife of John; devoted mother of Peter Tauber (Leslie Eme); cherished sister of Mark (Lee) Shumow and Amy (Brett) Stone; loving aunt of Dan Shumow (Samira Irani), Laura Shumow (Brendan Brankin), and David Stone (Grace Nelson); treasured best friend of Lori Hill; adored dogmom of Fidel. Suzy was truly a woman of the arts with impeccable style. She excelled at all things textile, loved reading, flowers, and MahJongg. She was a well-liked technology teacher at New Trier High School for many years and will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. Memorial service Thursday, Nov. 10, 2 PM at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd, Wilmette. It will also be livestreamed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
