Sylvia Corrigan

Born in Newton, Massachusetts to Maurice W. Dennison and Gertrude Miller Dennison on September 4th, 1923.

In 1945 Sylvia graduated from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. In 1945 Sylvia was married to Thomas W. McElin, M.D. There are two surviving children: Joan Dennison McElin and Thomas W. McElin (Julia Clark) as well as two children, Melissa Ann Dennison McElin and Emery Lynn Collins McElin.

In 1983 Sylvia married John E. Corrigan, Jr., including five stepchildren: Jane Corrigan Acker (David), John E. Corrigan III (Phyllis Kass), Margaret Corrigan (Larry Gibbs), Barbara Corrigan (Robert Gilbert), Robert W. Corrigan. There are 11 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren.

Sylvia died on March 5, 2023. A memorial service will be held at The Church of The Holy Comforter at a later date. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie, Illinois. A Memorial service will be held on July 8, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Church of the Holy Comforter located at 222 Kenilworth Ave, Kenilworth, IL.
