Jill and the Davis Family.  Although I had been told that Tanner was ill it still came as a shock to hear of his death. I have a commitment earlier on Thursday but hope to be able to arrive in time to  attend the service. Please accept my sincere condolences and my prayers for all the Davis family. I had not known Tanner was ill so I'm doubly shocked to learn of his death.  He and I started in Kindergarten together in 1937 and were together in school through the University of Illinois.  He was a fine guy and a sterling citizen.  I'm so sorry for your loss.

I was sorry to learn from the Stickrods about Tanner's death.  As a member of the high school reunion committee, I knew about his illness but had not heard anything recently. 7.26.12 Hello Jill and family...Tanner's ETHS'50 classmates, Jean Murphy and Dick Stickrod, are very sad.  Tanner had been a part of Dick's life since 2nd and 3rd grades at Oakton School in Evanston. Jean served on student council when Tanner was President, and always looked up to Tanner as the consummate leader, and loyal friend to all. May he rest in peace.  He will live in our memories for life. Thank you Lord for Tanner R. Davis.  God bless his family.  The Stickrod's in Florida.

Tanner's kind, warm personality will be much missed by his neighbors at Mallinckrodt.
