Bart was diagnosed with Stage 4 liver cancer in June of 2017 after returning from his Europe trip with Judy. He was under the care of Dr. Kevin Scher at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
While undergoing his chemo treatments, he continued attending all worship services. He seldom missed worship services at Calvary Presbyterian Church on Sundays. Additionally, he never hesitated to give a ride to anyone who would worship with him, even during his battle with cancer. His testimonies are always loud and full of excitement, even at times when he almost could not make it on that day, due to his condition.
He loved life. He had strong faith believing in the Lord‘s power of healing. Most of all, he loved our Lord Jesus Christ.
We give God all the glory and honor for giving us a father, uncle, brother, grandfather, and a great grandfather who showed us how to love and honor Him!
We would like to specially thank Dr. Kevin Scher who was always encouraging throughout his treatment. He helped stabilized Bart‘s critical condition to remission for almost 4 years, so that he had the quality of life to continue worshiping the lord and be with family and friends.
We are also thankful for Bart‘s sister, Priscilla, Niece, May and her son Romar, Evan, Waiman, and Jaime and all his lovely kids and family who were close and near providing much needed help and support during the last weeks of his life.
