Joe Pimentel

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joe Pimentel. Joe passed away peacefully in his home. He was 91 years old and a lifelong resident of Wilmington, California. He attended Banning High School and joined the California Conservation Corp. prior to enlisting in the U.S. Army where he served in the Pacific during WWII. He was discharged in 1946 and went to work for the Long Beach Naval Shipyard where he retired after 38 years of service. Joe enjoyed watching wrestling on television, gardening and going to the casinos with the senior citizen clubs with his late wife Virginia. He was a member of the VFW, Sincere Seniors and Sunshine Club. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, of 63 years, Virginia. He is survived by his sons, Joe and Michael, daughters, Barbara (Larry) Vera and Rebecca (Robert) Gonzalez. He had five grandchildren, Debra, Alton, Michael, Robert, Jacob and great-grandson, Gabriel. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 28 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Del Angel Mortuary in Wilmington. The funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, February 29 at SS. Peter & Paul Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Wilmington Cemetery. Please sign the guestbook
