This guy...made me want to live every minute to the fullest, love my husband more than he would ever know, love my kids like there was no tomorrow, love my mom, appreciate her and tell her so, love my friends as if they were my family, and make everyone around me feel like they were the most important person in my life, and I only met him recently.  I wish I would have taken him up on the invitations to his birthday parties, his family gatherings and whatever celebration was taking place... but obligations got in the way.  I am just grateful that I met him when I did and for the short time I knew him.  Christie, you were way loved and your children were too.  Robert Brumfield will forever be in my heart and I will never forget him. <3

If I remember correctly, I met Robert when he came to live with family on 221st St. during elementary school.  He was always a sweet, caring guy and I'm glad that never changed over the years, after I lost contact with him.  Reunited with him on FB, after seeing him at the wedding for our mutual friend's son.  When my husband came down with cancer and went through treatment, Robert was always encouraging.  I'll never forget his support.  I miss him dearly and look forward to seeing him again at our Lord's table in Heaven!  Rest in love, Robert!  *TIGHT HUGS*

You taught me many things in life uncle, you taught me how to tie my shoes, and how to laugh and just let go. and i remember you used to give me haircuts in the garage when i was little. ill never forget the time we had that shot of henny .. you were always there when i needed someone.. you were there when i needed someone to change my tire because i had no clue what i was doing.. and you were even there recently when i needed to pick up my car.. with everything going on with you. you were worried about me. ill never forget the way you Lit up the room..im so proud to have been your Nephew and also thankful that you lived across the street from me all my life. i am thankful that you got to see me perform. im not saying goodbye because i know i will see you in my dreams.. i saw you the week you passed .. in a dream and you had a beer in you hand and a lakers jersey on with a hat .. and you looked like the same unco rob.. i love you and i will never forget you. your legacy will live on. i just want to thank you for all that you did for me.

The first time I met Robert was at his b-day party @ Bruddah's. Within 30 seconds, I felt like I knew him for a lifetime! As we exchanged pleasantries I told him, "I'm here to be your paparazzi!" and off we went! So glad I got to capture those moments. It changed me forever. Rest in Heaven my newly found brutha!

To a very special man who always shared his support, respect and love for others.  Robert, you have added great memories to my life and I am honored to have met you.  You will be missed deeply, as you touched the hearts of so many.  May you rest in peace now.  Thoughts and prayers to the family.  Hold those memories and know that one day you will meet again!!

You always made those around you feel loved, so naturally we are heartbroken to not have you with us physically. But we will see you again one day.

It was a pleasure to know you Robert from our days at Carnegie JHS and then Carson High and lastly spending quality time at the Doubletree :) You touched so many lives and by the viewing yesterday and funeral services today, the standing room only crowds were just a small testament to how much you were loved. Rest in peace bro.

The services today were beautiful... A beautiful service for a beautiful perrson.It was blessing to see how many people loved you Rob and how many lives you touched. Heaven has truly received an Angel.

Roberto...the biggest heartest Hawaiian, cheesehead, cowboy I have ever had the privilege to meet. Thank you for all the wonderful memories and laughs. The first time I met Robert I was instantly his white brother, thats how friendly he was. Even if he just met you he would do just about anything for you. I will always remember Robert while repeating this story over and over. Robert and I went camping together at a yearly function called Summerfest. Robert stayed up a little later than most of us partying with J-lowe, came over to my site looked straight into the campfire and said, Mike do you have any WOOD! not knowing we were still awake in the tent. Thats the way Robert was even polite while hijacking my firewood.

Christie and family……Robert touched so many lives during his short time on earth. He was always a positive force to be around. Even through his own difficult illness, he continued to show love and concern for others. He came to visit at work a few weeks before and he was STILL the life of the party. It's comforting to know he is safe in His loving arms.

Robert was a man with a big, loving heart, sweet personality. I will always remember you two dancing at one of our Kern reunions, so graceful, so beautiful. You and children remain in my prayers.

Robert had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel special and he could always make you laugh and smile, no matter what was going on.  I will miss seeing his smiling face, hearing his wonderful laugh and his warm hugs.  He was truly one of a kind and was the definition of the “aloha spirit”. I remember Robert when he first started at Boeing as a dispatcher and I was a Shop Floor Control Manager in the machine shop. I saw him grow and prosper as a person and in his career. We would banter back and forth about sports, his Cowboys and at the time my Rams, the Kings and Ducks. My deepest condolences, he will be greatly missed.

Christie, although I didn't know your family-I felt as if I did.    Robert would share his day to day feelings, thoughts and emotions with those of us lucky enough to spend any time with him and we spent a couple of years working together in a conference room doing an impossible task, yet he always was positive and upbeat and could make the room laugh. And he could always brighten up my day with just a simple "hey girl".  He loved his family without reservation and  always had you first and foremost in his heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours at this difficult time.

Robert, you were a wonderful uncle to my children growing up and as they became adults. You and Christie were very important when I was going through my stuff. You will be missed.

Lopaka, as I knew you, you always loved your beautiful wife and family.  You were a family man and it showed the love you had for them.  You have left behind a legacy that they will carry on.  You are with our Maker now and "I can only Imagine what it must be like....."We will see you again one day.  Until then, live in Paradise.
