Alan Mitchell

He was born in Winston-Salem, NC on April 10, 1951 to Aaron Lester Mitchell and Marjorie Lane Salter Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by his Mom, Dad, Grandmother Grace Salter, his daughter Angela L. Mitchell.

Alan completed his Associate Degree at Cape Fear Community College in Instrumentation. He was employed for 36 years at Dupont Plant. He was a fan of Mopar Cars. Camping, fishing and going to the races was a great pastime of Alan. He was friends with everyone that met him.

He was married to the love of his life, Linda H. Mitchell for 51 years. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren to the fullest. Alan was just a loving man.

He is survived by his wife Linda H. Mitchell, son Christopher Mitchell (Chenoa), grandchildren Spencer Mitchell, Katlynn Mitchell, Gavin Adams, and Abigail Mitchell. His brother Keith H. Mitchell and sister Sharon Mitchell and numerous friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024 from 2-4 pm at Coble Funeral and Cremation Service, 1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 2:30 pm at the Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1311 Shipyard Blvd. Wilmington, NC.
