She was born on March 17, 1936, in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Walter G. Hatch, Jr. and Bessie Miller Hatch. Also remembered is her husband, Richard Cox and her daughter, Teresa Cox, both of who preceded her in death.
Surviving are four nieces, Wilma Henderson, Bobbie Wilkerson, Joanne Turner and Judy Cox; three nephews, Randy Cox, Bobby Cox and Jackie Cox; dear friends, Martha Dillon, Betty Jean Lanier, Connie Bennett, Diana Taylor, Patsy Phelps and Patricia Saunders.
Anne retired from nursing after twenty-five years and had been a nurse at New Hanover Regional Medical Center for twenty-three years of those years.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, May 10, 2024, at Andrews Mortuary Market Chapel with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the New Hanover Humane Society, Samaritan’s Purse, National Breast Cancer Foundation or the charity of one’s choice.
