

She was born in Roane County, WV; the daughter of the late Corder and Edith (Husk) Mace.
Barbara worked for the United States Postal Service for thirteen years where she was a mail carrier/handler and Post Masters' relief. She also worked at Department of Health and Human Resources for thirteen years as a social service worker with the aged.
She was very proud to have coached girl's softball, and she was instrumental in getting Boy Scout's and Brownies started in Walker. She was a long time member of Pike-Rocky Point Presbyterian Church in Rocky Point, NC where she also served as a Deaconess. She attended First Presbyterian Church in Parkersburg, WV.
Barbara loved bowling, fishing, and spending time with loved ones.
She is survived by six children: Linda Sprout (Tom) of Walker, WV, Teresa Robinson (Bill) of Salem, WV, Dale J. Gordon, Jr. of Walker, WV, Jeffery W. Gordon (Fefe) of Walker, WV, Denise Alexander (Rai) of Greensboro, NC, and Debbie Wilson of Wilmington, NC; eight grandchildren: Carl Ray Sprout, Chad Johnson, Yvonne Gordon, Josh Gordon, Daniel Gordon, Jordan Alexander, Tyler Wilson, and Hunter Wilson; five great grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; twelve step-great grandchildren; and five brothers and sisters: Mary Jo Sams (Bob) of Weston, WV, Judy Sheppard (Gary) of Vienna, WV, Martha Busch of Parkersburg, WV, Ralph Mace of Weston, WV, and Jimmy Mace of Harrisville, WV.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ted Joseph Jordan.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM, Sunday, July 15, 2012 at the Leavitt Family Center in Parkersburg, WV with the Reverend J.C. Young Thompson officiating.
