Brenda Lynn Buie

Born October 6, 1950 in New York City, NY, she was a daughter of the late Abe and Sophie Herman. In addition to her parents, she is also predeceased by her brother, Howard Herman.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, James P. Buie; a nephew, Jason Herman; nieces, Amanda Herman and Elizabeth Herman, sister in law, Veronica Herman; lifelong friend, Mary Bates; and extended family.

Brenda was proud to be a native New Yorker. She was equally as proud to be an adopted North Carolinian. Her disposition was N.C. with an edge from her native NYC. Brenda was an accomplished business professional, but what made her special was her genuine interest in and concern for people. When you spoke to Brenda and she asked “How are you doing?”, you knew she was sincerely interested in how you were doing. A genuine caring person.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Winter Park Presbyterian Church.
