Hanson on May 13, 1957 in Fairbanks, Alaska and began a 30 year adventure with her US Army husband. She was predeceased by her parents John and Roxie Idom, grandson Brian Hanson and great-grandson Dema Hanson. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Col. Her roles as Golde, Laurie, Fiona, Aldonza, and Ida received rave reviews. She was the managing director of the Thalian Association for the 1985-86 seasons, lead the Kure Memorial Lutheran church choir for 4 years and sang with various chorales and singing groups along the way.
