Charles Linwood Peterson of Wilmington, NC passed away on April 7, 2022.
He was born on January 15, 1931 in Columbus County, NC son of the late Jennings Rudolf Peterson and Lorena Alice Bordeaux Peterson. He is also preceded in death by three sisters: Thelma Jacobs, Margie Thayer and Barbara Kitchen.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Georgia Roberson Peterson; his son Darrell L. Peterson and his wife Mary; his daughter, Audrey L. Peterson; grandchildren: Caleb, Andrew, Ethan, T.J., and Kenneth and several nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and especially spending time at his family farm in Columbus County, North Carolina where he was born and raised.
In June of 1994, Charles was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Columbia, South Carolina.
The family will receive visitors from 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Saturday April 16, 2022 at Coble Funeral and Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28412. A virtual memorial service on Zoom to be held on Sunday, April 17th at 3:00pm
