Darlene and I are so very sad to hear the news of Gail's passing. Sad that we will never see her again in this life but happy in the knowledge that we will see her again, along with Jerry, after our earthly life has ended.  To all of her family we want you to know that she was a very special person to us and to all of our congregation who knew her here at Antioch Presbyterian in Jacksonville.  Our deepest sympathy to you all.

Dr. Jones and Gail were serving Antioch Presbyterian Church when my husband and I were married thirty years ago.  I will always remember what a sweet and caring person Gail was and how supportive she was of Dr. Jones during his time of declining health.  May God give you strength during this time of grief. Although we tended to drift away over the past few years Gail had a major impact on my life and that of my children Lee & Jeremy. Not a day went by that I haven't remembered her in prayer.  She was a wonderful friend and confidant and an excellant role model.  Antioch Presbyterian Church was blessed by her love and the devotion that she and Mr. Jones shared with us.  Words can never express the many ways our lives were touched by hers and I am thankful for having that pleasure of knowing her and calling her friend.  My heart goes out to each member of her family. I chose to think that Mr. Jones & Gail are both now at peace as she has joined him in heaven to help God manage all those pets that are with them.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Gail's passing. She and Jerry were an influence on many of us at Antioch, and Gail remained a good friend long after his death. Time and chance led us in different directions, but she will always have a special place in my memory. I trust that she was met at the Rainbow Bridge by Fen, Tartan, Bill and Byron . . . and, of course, Jerry.

I was very sad to learn at our 45th NHHS reunion about Gail's lengthy battle with her medical challenges.  She was always good and kind and a very memorable part of our lives growing up in Wilmington over a long stretch of years.   I am thankful that she had such a circle of friends and family to accompany her, particularly on this very difficult part of her journey. Though I am sorry for her friends and her family's deep sense of loss, we can all take some measure of comfort in her steadfast goodness and courage and the love she shared with all whose lives she touched.
