David Wampler

David worked his entire career for the Libbey-Owens-Ford Company, which produces flat glass for the automotive and building products industry. He was an avid boater who enjoyed being on the water, was a member of Toledo power squadron, and also had a captain’s license. David

was a kind, gentle man, and everyone that met him loved him. He is now peacefully with the Lord.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; children, David Wampler Jr and Deborah Gerhart, as well as his sister Nancy.

He is survived by his son, Jeffery Wampler of Carolina Beach; fiancé, Donnie Rehder; grandchildren, John, Jessica, Joel, and Tara as well as 3 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Sept 10th, 11am to 12pm at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W Sylvania Ave, Toledo, OH and will then proceed to Toledo Memorial Park.

A memorial service will also be held on Saturday Sept 24th at Kure Memorial Lutheran Church, 117 N 3rd Ave, Kure Beach, NC.
