Edward Lawrence Todd

Edward Lawrence Todd of Wilmington passed away peacefully Sunday, July 17, 2011 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He was born September 20, 1937 in Council, NC son of the late George L. Todd and Beulah Maynard Todd. Mr. Todd was a member of Temple Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, graduated from Elizabethtown High School, was a veteran of the US Army, retired agent with Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Co., member of the Gideon's, and a member of the Wilmington Area Woodturners Association. Surviving are his wife Iris Morton Todd, daughter, Gay Shackelford and husband Dan of Baltimore, MD, son, Mark L. Todd and wife Kathy of Raleigh, NC, sister, Meredith LeRay Pittman and husband Ben of Lumberton, NC, brothers Dale Todd and wife Betsy of Wilmington, NC, and Bill Todd and wife Penny of White Oak, NC. A funeral service will be held 2pm Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Temple Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1pm until 2pm Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Temple Baptist Church.
