Elizabeth J. Montgomery

Elizabeth J. Montgomery  joined her Lord in heaven on August 15,2023.   She was a Mother, Wife, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother in her long life.  She was a friend to everyone she met and cherished animals.

Elizabeth was born in Bethel Conn. in 1937.  She married her High School sweetheart Robert Kratky in 1956 and had three children William "Bill", Joyce, and Joseph.  In 1976 she lost Robert.  In 1978 she married her late husband David Montgomery and moved to NC in 1983.

"Betty " as she was known by many, was an AKC Championship Breeder of Boston Terriers and Boxers. Her Kennel name "Krakmont" was recognized globally.  She was a Dog Handler and Stewart of the AKC.  Most of all  Betty was a recognized AKC Breed Rescue for Boston Terriers. Her dogs were her world.  She served in the Weddington Methodist Church Choir, and as a member of the Piedmont Kennel Club.

Betty is survived by her children Bill, Joyce and Joe, grandchildren Chris and Kevin Dudley, Jason Kratky, Alexis Brooks, Joseph Brosius, and her Great-Grandchild Theodore Brosius.
