Elizabeth Moran Sowers

Elizabeth Moran Sowers, of Wilmington, died Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Spring Arbor of Wilmington. She was born in Salem, VA, September 18, 1918, the daughter of the late Walter Abraham Moran and Mary Agnes Holmes Moran. Her husband William C. Sowers preceded her in death. She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Kit Corcoran of Wilmington, NC and Susan Bill Hill of Macon, GA, four grandchildren, Suzanne DonnieReid of Wilmington, NC, Kimberly Kent Moore of Roswell, GA, Joe Abbie Hill of Athens, GA, and Matt Hill of Denver, CO, five great grandchildren, Meredith and Suzanne Moore, Susannah and Ephraim Hill, and Donnie Reid., also two sisters, Wilma Sowers of Salem, VA and Marian Butler of Vero Beach, FL, a sister-in-law Nancy Mutter of Herndon, VA, many nieces and nephews, and her caregiver and special friend, Bunny Bloodworth. A memorial service will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Andrews Valley Chapel. The family would like to express their special thanks to the staff at Spring Arbor of Wilmington and the Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
