Eric "Rick" Bailey

Eric “Rick” Bailey of Southport, NC passed away on Sunday March 18, 2018 after a brave and courageous battle with several illnesses.  He was born May 14, 1968 in Painesville, OH, to Warren Bailey and the late Maureen P. Bailey.         

Rick loved music and was a talented guitarist who played in several bands while attending college at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC.  After graduating and earning a BA degree in English and a Masters degree in Technical Writing from ECU, Rick went to work for Duke Energy in Charlotte, NC.  He also taught several college English classes during his time in Greenville and Charlotte. In 2007 Rick moved to Southport, NC. 

Surviving are father Warren Bailey of Southport, NC, brother William Bailey, sister in law Lynn Bailey, nephew Michael Bailey of Sims, NC, and sister Cheryl B. Toerck and brother in law Daryl Toerck of Irmo, SC.
