Estelle C. Haste

Estelle C. Haste, 94, of Holly Ridge, NC, was called home by her Lord Jesus on Saturday, March 29, 2014. She was born on May 9, 1919 to the late Manley and Alice Chadwick. Estelle was married to the late John D. Haste, Sr. They had four sons and one daughter. Three sons, John D. Haste, Jr., William Lionel Haste and Richard Edward Haste, preceded her in death. Surviving is one son, Leslie Manley Haste, Sr. and wife Kaye; one daughter, Cheryl Haste and husband Rudy; and a daughter-in-law, Nina Haste. Estelle is preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters and survived by one brother and one sister. She also has nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Estelle loved her church, Providence Baptist, where she was a member of WMU. She loved her friends and most of all she loved her family. She was in return deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be at Andrews Mortuary Hampstead Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, April 2, 2014. A funeral service will held 11:00 am Thursday at Providence Baptist Church in Holly Ridge. Burial will follow in Green lawn Memorial Park in Wilmington. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made in Estelle's name to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1406 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
