Franklin (Artie) Arthur Dunn

He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and John Dunn and twin brother, Alex.

He is survived by his beloved wife Phyllis C. Dunn of 42 years and a nephew, John Dunn, III to whom he loved like a son.

His beloved extended family consisted of stepson Chris Bowers and wife, Audrey, and stepdaughter, Karen Wiles; two grandchildren, Matthew McGrady and Shannon Slone and husband, Jason; two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Landon Slone. 

He is also survived by many, many friends to whom he loved dearly.  He served as an altar boy along with his twin brother, Alex, in the Episcopal Church for years and later attended the McCallie Military School in Chattanooga, TN.  He was proud to be an Eagle Scout and belonged to the Outward Bound and Sierra Clubs.  He also served Myrtle Beach as a lifeguard and remained an avid, excellent swimmer his entire life.

He most recently moved from Myrtle Beach, SC to Wilmington, NC.  He will be missed by all families and friends for his loving ways, cheery disposition and his unique sense of humor.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
