

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Paris Futrell Williams; his son, David Ray Williams and his brother, Leonard Williams.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Allie Williams; his six children, Paul Williams and wife Brigida, Roy Williams, Doug Williams and wife Starr, David John Williams and wife Ruby, Susan Sasser , Nathan Herring and wife Kim; his sister in law, Margie Williams; eleven grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Alexandria Williams, Paul Williams Jr. and wife Ellecia, Linda Williams, Aixa Wells and husband Gene, Haven and Zaine Crawford, Kevin Williams and wife JoAnna , Renee Williams and boyfriend Brandon Blackburn and Samantha Herring; and three great grandchildren, Fletcher Van Williams, Isabella Wells, and Xanden Williams.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 7, 2010 at Oakdale Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Glenn served his country with the US Army Special Forces. He was well known for his 47 year career as a Projectionist for drive in theaters and Cinema Six in New Hanover County and surrounding areas. Having earned his title the "The Movie Man" he was proudly the last projectionist at The Wilmington Starway Drive-In Theater. He had a love of music, poetry and writing short stories; having quite a few make it to publication. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was much loved by his family. He will be dearly missed.
