Harold Woodrow McLaurin, 80, of Wilmington, NC, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & Life Care Center, Wilmington. He was born in Harnett County, NC on July 20, 1933, son of the late Duncan James McLaurin and Vesper Reardon McLaurin. He had special appreciation for surviving family members, Marsha, Debbie, Jennifer, Melissa, Daniel and their families. Mr. McLaurin was the owner and operator of McLaurin Parking Company in downtown Wilmington for twenty-five years. He later worked with the City of Wilmington for an additional ten years before retiring and enjoying his favorite pastime of gardening. He was a member of Castle Hayne Baptist Church. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2014, at Oleander Memorial Gardens, 306 Bradley Drive, Wilmington, NC, with the Rev. Billy Fowler officiating.
