Hobson Curfew Bennett, Jr., age 72, died Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Brunswick County Hospice surrounded by family and friends. Hobson was born on February 18, 1943 to the late Hobson C. Bennett and Doris K. Bennett. He is survived by two brothers, Mitchell W. Bennett (Marian) of Leland, NC, and Ronald K. Bennett (Becky) of Kitty Hawk, NC; two nieces, Debra B. Routh (Hal) and Natalie B. Bost (Ben); and two nephews, Ryan K. Bennett and Brent H. Bennett (Katie). A graduate of New Hanover High School and East Carolina University, "Benny," as known to his family, was an avid fisherman and hunter both locally and around the world. There is no way to put into words everything he was to so many people. He will be greatly missed.
