He is preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter, Tracey Dawn Lee.
He retired from General Electric Co. And he is survived by his wife of 41 years, Lucky Hearne Lee, Daughter Kellie Lee Todd (Todd Hurley) Son Duane T. Gurganus, sisters Kay Porter, Ruth Talent (Doug). Grandchildren, Sterling, Trevor, Bailey and Gunner. Great Grandchildren, Lett, Rowyn and Huxley. Special in laws Fred Hearne (Mary) and Pat Hearne Stanley (Jim) and a host of special nieces and nephews.
Homer was an avid surf fisherman and was known for his special drum rigs. He loved dancing, bowling and hunting. He loved family and always put them first.
He will be surely missed, he was “one of a kind”.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 3:00pm at Greenlawn Memorial Park by Coble Funeral Service. With Pastor Steve Gasque officiating and speaker Deacon Timothy Gainey.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later time.
