Hugh Wayne Mohr

Visitation will be at 1pm, Sunday April 26th, followed by funeral service at 2pm at Andrews Mortuary, 1617 Market Street. The Rev. Eddie Eaton will officiate. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Wayne was born in Wilmington, NC to Fred & Marie Mohr on February 13, 1944. He graduated from New Hanover High School in 1965. He married Joyce Gore on February 18, 1967 in Kingsland, GA. Wayne worked in his parents grocery store as a young person, at Babcock & Wilcox, ran his own contracting company & finished his career as Park Superintendent for New Hanover County. Wayne enjoyed working on home improvement projects, working in his yard and taking care of his cats.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Mohr and his parents Fred & Marie Mohr.

Wayne is survived by his children Wendy Knowles (Andy), Jason Mohr and Ryan Mohr (Sarah); 5 grandchildren –Justin Knowles, Joshua Knowles, Emma Mohr, Oliver Mohr & Finn Mohr; his brother Fred Mohr (Joyce), sister-in-laws Kathy Brennan & Kozette Gore and brother-in-law Wesley Westbury; nephews & nieces Pam Mohr, Lisa King (Michael), Brian Westbury (Adelaide), Tammi Westbury & Mandi Waits.
