

Jack passed away at his home in Surf City, North Carolina, on February 22, 2024 at the age of 74. He was born August 9, 1949 in Washington, DC to the late Jean Marie Donaldson Crouch and the late Emmett Louis Crouch.
He grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland and attended Springbrook High School graduating class of 1968. After graduation, Jack enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he became an air traffic controller. In 1974, Jack married Linda Suzanne Boyd of Bethesda, Maryland after which they moved to Elkview, West Virginia where Jack worked at the Charleston Airport as first an air traffic controller and then for local sheriff’s department as a deputy. After moving back to Maryland to be closer to family, Jack worked for the Montgomery County Police Department as a dispatcher for 23 years, retiring in 2003. After retirement, Jack and Linda moved to North Carolina where he could spend more time with his passions for fishing, cooking and playing with his dogs.
He is survived by his wife Linda of 49 years, son Nicholas of Ranson, West Virginia, brother Kerry (wife Alison) of Lewes, Delaware, nephew Shawn (wife Amanda) of Miami Beach, Florida, niece Densie (husband Zach) of Rockville, Maryland. He is predeceased by his brother Dennis from Poolesville, Maryland.
