Dr. Fraser died March, 16, 2010 at The Mariner Health Center. He was born on June 25, 1915 in Gary, Indiana to Albert & Jessie Fraser. John graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1940 and was a retired local dentist, having practiced in Indiana and Wilmington. He served for 3 years in the Army Dental Corp. in France and Germany during World War II. He was preceded in death by his son James, brother George, and granddaughter Tracie Kharbat. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ruth; also daughter Linda, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of Denver, Colorado; as well as a nephew, Ronald Fraser. John was a long time member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Cape Fear Country Club. A graveside service will be held in the Memorial Garden of Grace United Methodist Church at 2pm on Thursday, March 18, 2010.
