John Henry Irving, III, 73, of Wilmington, died Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at his residence. He was born September 27, 1940, in Wilmington, to the late John Henry Irving, Jr. and Margaret Elizabeth Irving. John was an avid golfer and was a member of and honorably discharged from the US Air Force. Survivors include his sister, Jean McTavish; brothers, Charles Irving, Donald Irving (Faye) and Graham Irving; niece, Sandy McTavish Francis (Blue) and nephews, Gary McTavish, Mike McTavish and Jared Irving.
