John Jack William Samuels

John William Samuels, of Hampstead, NC died Monday, April 4, 2011 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center. He was born in Alliance, OH, December 12, 1934, the son of the late Adam Samuels and Rose Faber Samuels. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy Skuse Samuels, his brother George Samuels, and his sister Jean Samuels. Jack served in the US Navy and was a member of the American Legion. He had retired from Superior Printing in Warren, OH and had been active in the Boy Scouts during his years in Ohio. He was a former member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Vienna, OH. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Rose Ellen Burgoon Clark Samuels, five children; Heather Samuels and Jennifer Samuels of Ohio, Hilary Samuels of FL, Gregory Samuels and wife Kathi of NJ, and David Samuels and wife Kelly of Ohio, also nine grandchildren; Danielle, Asia, Victor, Marina, Marissa, Kennedy, London, Madison, and Haley, and one brother, Robert Samuels and wife Ruth of PA. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, April 9, 2011 at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401.
