John "Jack" Paul Kolcun Jr.

Jack Kolcun passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. He grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from Duquesne University. After retiring from GE Jack ran his own business which he enjoyed almost as much as golfing with his friends at Pine Valley. He was very active in St. Therese Catholic Church and will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched. Jack adored his wife and family. He was a devoted husband to Karen for over 51 years, and the loving father of Christine Kolcun Massey husband Robert, John P. Kolcun III wife Lynette, and Amanda Deckard husband Regan. He was a delighted Pap to Nicholas and Alexandra Massey, Katie and Nathan Kolcun, Bella Kolcun, Addi and Shannon Mason, Emma O’Dell husband Sam, great-pap to Landon, Scarett, and Adalynnn O’Dell. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Nellie Kolcun. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Visitation will be Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 2-4, and 7-9 PM at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral & Cremation Service 3915 Oleander Dr., Wilmington, NC 28403.
