Joe was born in Duplin County, NC on November 7, 1944, son of Alma Elizabeth Byrd Halecki and Joseph Robert Halecki.
Joe proudly served in the National Guard, he was a longtime member of the Shriners and a Mason. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, boating and riding his Harley. He owned Precision Cut Lawn Care and retired as a Supervisor at DuPont. He was a fun loving, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He could always make you laugh with his jokes; He will truly be missed.
Joe is survived by his wife, Gail Hill Halecki; daughters: Catherine Halecki, Sarah Halecki Gubitz and her husband Wes; nine grandchildren; one step daughter, Christy Hicks; sister, Vee Halecki Everhart and brothers: Lee Halecki and Tommy Halecki and his wife Sylvia.
Graveside Service with Military Honors for Joseph will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Oleander Memorial Gardens, 306 Bradley Drive, Wilmington, NC, N.C. 28409.
