Kathryn "Kitty" Roberts Lee

Kathryn "Kitty" Roberts Lee, 92, of Wilmington passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter. Kitty was born on May 29, 1921 in Hartsville, SC to the late Samuel and Tallulah Roberts. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Fitzhugh Lee; sisters, Lucille Hinnant, Juanita Hendricks and Gwendolyn Malone; and brothers, W.H. Roberts and Samuel Burriss. Kitty is survived by her daughter, Claire Lee Stone (Frank), Augusta, GA; son, William Fitzhugh Lee (Jerene), Wilmington, NC; grandchildren, Nicholas Fitzhugh Stone (Kristi), Kathryn Claire Stone and Kathryn Stuart Lee; and great-grandchild, Charlotte Lynn Stone. Kitty was a graduate of Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, NC and Mosley Flint School of Real Estate in Greensboro, NC, a member of Carolina Yacht Club of Wrightsville Beach, Landfall Sports Center, United Daughters of Confederacy, Sand Dollar Investment Club and The Cape Fear Garden Club. She was an active member of Wesleyan Chapel United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Wesleyan Chapel United Methodist Church, Scotts Hill.
