Larry Edward “Butch” Cox, 64, of Wilmington, NC, died at home Monday, December 17, 2007. Mr. Cox was born September 18, 1943 in Wilmington, NC, the son of the late Raymond Spencer and Clara Seal Cox. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Cox Melvin and Nancy Cox Dittrich, and one brother, Raymond Spencer Cox, Jr. Mr. Cox is survived by his wife Carolyn Rogers Cox, his daughter, Hillary Cox Wells, son-in-law, William Jason Wells, one brother, James Oliver Cox, and many special nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 19 at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 am at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Randy Speight officiating. The family would also like to extend many thanks and much appreciation to his healthcare providers and the Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
