

Louise Catherine Molinario Lewis passed away February 4, 2016 in Wilmington, North Carolina. She was born February 25, 1926, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Lawrence Joseph Molinario, Sr. and Louise Catherine St. Martin Molinario. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of forty years, Aubrey Edeline Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her five brothers, Lawrence, Anthony, Frank, James, and Joseph Molinario; two sisters, Maryrose Molinario DeCorte and Leonora Molinario Lindemann; and son-in-law, Jonathan Glenton. She is survived by her three daughters, Louise Glenton of Johannesburg, South Africa; Mary Bradley (Michael) of Wilmington, NC; and Janice Bennett (Randy) of Wilmington, NC. She is also survived by grandchildren, Michael Shawn Meier (Heather) of Wilmington, NC; Tristan Raymond Ansell (Elaine) of Seattle, WA; Damon Bradford Ansell (Emily) of Nairobi, Kenya; Philip Thomas Bennett of Wilmington, NC; step-granddaughters, Sloan Rice (Heath) of Raleigh, NC and Arlyn Wyatt (Philip) of Greenville, SC; great-grandchildren, Grace, Ian, and Porter Meier; Shea and Isolde Ansell; Louise and Oscar Ansell; step-great-grandchildren, Cole and Devyn Blaylock; Rebecca and Patrick Rice; and Mclayne and Jackson Wyatt. She is also survived by her special Godson, Gary Lindemann, of Memphis, Tennessee. Additionally, Louise leaves behind many extended family members. She is also survived by her faithful and loving canine, Georgie Bear. Louise was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, better known as Gi-Gi.
Louise graduated from Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Elementary School and St. Joseph Academy High School. She completed her studies at Soule Business College. She met and married her husband in New Orleans, Louisiana and shortly thereafter moved to Wilmington, NC in 1945. Five years later Louise and Aubrey began a business together and worked side by side for thirty-five years. She was a faithful and devoted parishioner of the Basilica Shrine of St. Mary for seventy-one years where she was also an active member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She also served on the local AARP Board of Directors.
Louise enjoyed line dancing with her friends from the Senior Center for many years. She enjoyed traveling in her younger years with her husband to various European countries, and especially loved Paris. In later years she enjoyed visits to South Africa with her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at 9:30 AM, February 11, 2016 at the Basilica Shrine of St. Mary, 412 Ann Street, Wilmington, North Carolina.
