Lucille Allen Marshburn, 90, of Wilmington, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at her residence. She was born September 8, 1923, in Farmville, NC, to the late Paul Allen and Cleo Bailey Allen. Lucille was an active member of Temple Baptist Church for many years and enjoyed singing in the choir. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Jack Lionel Marshburn; daughter, Linda Marshburn Bizzell and eleven siblings. Survivors include her grandsons, Kenneth Bizzell and David Bizzell (Candace); great-grandchildren, Joanna Maria Ross and Thomas Jack Bizzell; brother, Horace Allen and son-in-law, Jerry Bizzell. A funeral service will be held at 1pm, Saturday, January 25, 2014, at Temple Baptist Church. The family will receive visitors at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Temple Baptist Church, 1801 Market St., Wilmington, NC 28401.
