Margaret Marie Clark Sims, 80, formerly of Wilmington, died September 2, 2011, in Jackson, CA. Margaret was born May 20, 1931, to the late Barney Clark and Verona Whitley Clark, in Oakboro, NC. While living in Wilmington, she was a member of Cape Fear Presbyterian Church and was involved with the Cape Fear Women's Circle #2 and Young At Heart. Her husband, Robert E. Sims, a Korean War veteran, preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons, Gary Sims and Wife Sandra, of Jackson, CA, Daniel Clay Sims and wife Nora of Sedona, AZ and Jeffrey Shane Sims and wife Jeannie Marie of Morgan, UT; grandchildren, Alicia Marie, Leah Crista Brown, Gregory Shane, Robert James, Laura Marie and Sarah Ashley; brother, Lowell Clark and sister, Peggy Sue Connell. A funeral service will be held at 2pm, Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
